the birth of Barking Wild

Updated: Aug 23, 2019

It's been a hell of a journey, the last couple of years. I've gone from being the manager of a team in a massive travel corporation - really successful #yuppie - to a business owner in what feels like the blink of an eye. But if I really think about it, this has been brewing inside for a good few years now.

"I can't remember how this got started, but I can tell you exactly how it will end."

To me, this used to just be a line from one of my favourite #NIN songs, but in the last year it's begun to ring so true in my heart. How I decided to call my successful role quits & go off to live my dream - I have no idea. What I can tell you is that it's going to end in hard work, extra hours being put in & good old blood sweat & tears. But for me, being able to focus on my #passions, enrich other people's lives & seeing it all come to fruition - that's all the reward I need.

I've been chatting to a lot of people over the last while & this past week, the week where paperwork is being made official, domains are being bought & the dream is coming to life, I've had the question, "why #BarkingWild?" pop up a few times. It's a good question. Basically, I'm a crazy dog lady who loves wild animals too. I've always fancied wild dogs & figured, yea "bark, wild, dog... B-I-N-G-O". I bet you're disappointed with the outcome of that tail. (see what I did there?)

"I get by with a little help from my friends"

So here I am, rolling full steam ahead on all the aspects of starting my own #gig & it really feels awesome. My friends have been amazingly supportive & I've been humming the famed #beatles tune all week as I think about how amazing my supporters have been, especially my husband - seriously babe: #iloveyouman

Tonight, I'm popping that bottle of #bubbly that's been lying in the fridge for like the past year. The birth of Barking Wild is here and it is a very promising pup indeed!
